Narmada River Valley Authority plans Chinki Multipurpose River Project

Narmada River Valley Development Authority is planning to set up Chinki Multipurpose River Project in Narsinghpur district in Madhya Pradesh with an investment of Rs. 14397 million. The project involves setting up of a dam across river Chinki of 35.5 m height and 1536 meter in length with main and saddle spillways, a dam power house to generate power of 3x5 MW. Ecological studies are being carried out to understand the impact of submergence area at full reservoir level.
