HP Power Corp Ltd is setting up a 243 MW Kashang Hydro project in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. The project is likely to entail and investment of Rs.4530 million and has received loan to the tune of Rs.2970 million for the first phase of 65 MW. Now, as the project has received environmental clearance, it is expected to see further progress in coming months. It may be noted, the company has already submitted a detailed project report to ADB for finance.
Latest News
The project has achieved financial closure and phase I of 65 MW is likely to go operational by 2013, while stage II & III are likely to go operational by 2015.
