Amrit Jal Ventures Ltd, a subsidiary of GATI Infrastructure Ltd has commissioned the 110 MW Chuzachen hydel power project in Sikkhim. The project invovles setting up a 2x55 MW hydel power project across river Rangpo and Rongli rivers. The company has awarded the EPC contract to Alstom India in 2007. The scope of work included turnkey execution of Electro-Mechanical package comprising of hydroturbines, generators, BOP (Balance of Plant) and auxiliaries. The company has also set up a dedicated transmission line of 24 kms to evacuate the power to central grid. It may be noted, the company is also setting up 54 MW Bhamsey hydel project and 71 MW Sada Mangdar hydel project in Sikkhim.
