Narmada River Valley Development Authority is planning to set up Chinki Multipurpose River Project in Narsinghpur district in Madhya Pradesh with an investment of Rs. 14397 million. The project involves setting up of a dam across river Chinki of 35.5 m height and 1536 meter in length with main and saddle spillways, a dam power house to generate power of 3x5 MW. Ecological studies are being carried out to understand the impact of submergence area at full reservoir level.

Ascent Hydro Projects to set up 2.2 MW hydro electric project in Pali Taluka in Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh. The project involves construction of a forebay consisting of concrete retaining walls connected to the seal pit structure with 2 units of 1.1 MW turbine. This project is amongst the first of its kind in the country utilizing condenser-cooling water for power generation. The project had been commissioned in 2006
