Narayanpur Power Co to set up 6 MW hydro project in village Somanamaradi in Deodurga Taluk in Raichur district in Karnataka. The project involves utilizing the hydro potential exists with “Narayanapur Right Bank Canal” with a head drop of 30 meters The project design comprises a diversion structure, power canal, penstocks, powerhouse, power evacuation system and tailrace canal. No storage facility such as dam is involved and hence, the power will be generated whenever water flow is available in the irrigation canal. The project had been completed in 2004
