Jaypee Hydro Power Ltd is planning to construct 500 MW Hirong Hydro electric project across river Siyom in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The project involves construction of 133.50 m high concrete gravity dam across River Siyom, four bays of sluice type spillways with top sealing radial gates for floods, an underground power house to accommodate 4x125 MW units. The project will be a run-off-the river scheme.

JVKIL Consortium Ltd is planning to construct a 86 MW hydro electric project in Lower Dibang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The project involves construction of a barrage of 25 meter height across river Ithun, a head race tunner of 5.6 km, 200 m long surface de-silting chamber, 8.5 m dia and 62 m high surge shaft, 2 penstocks of 3.2 m dia and a surface power house with gross and net head as 107.67 m and 98.17 m respectively.

S S Yamne Energy Ventures Pvt Ltd is planning to construct 96 MW Yamne Stage II hydro electric project in Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The project involves construction of 20 meter high barrage concrete dam, a surface power house to accommodate 3x32 MW, an head race tunnel of 6.5 kms etc., The project will be a run-off-the river scheme.

Reliance Power to set up Tato II hydro elecric project

Reliance Power is to set up the Tato II hydro electric project (4 x 175 MW) across river Siyom in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. A special purpose vehicle in the name & style of Tato Hydro Power Ltd has been formed to build the project on BOT basis. The company has engaged SNC-Lavalin Engineering as owner's consultant for the project. The company has invited tenders in Feb 2012 for awarding EPC works.
