Orissa Power Consortium to set up 18 MW Jalaput hydel project in Visakhapatinam district of Andhra Pradesh. The project involves setting up of a power house comprising three identical units of 6000 KW Vertical Kaplan Turbines coupled with three synchronous generators which will exploit the hydro potential available at the toe of existing Jalaput dam across river Machkund. The project had been commissioned in 2006
