Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd is planning to construct 775 MW Lurhi hydro electric project in Shimla, Manali and Kullu districts of Himachal Pradesh. The project involves construction of a concrete gravity dam of 86 meter high across river Satluj, diversion of Satluj river into two parallel head race tunnels, underground power house etc., the project will be a run-off-the river scheme.
