Lara Sumta Hydro Power Pvt Ltd (of Reliance Power) is planning to set up a 104 MW hydro electric project across Spiti river ( a tributary of Sutlej river) near Tabo village in Lahul & Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. The project involves setting up of a run-off-the river scheme with construction of 22 meter barrage, a head race tunnel of 8.47 km, an underground power house (2x 52 MW ). The project cost is estimated at Rs. 8941 million.
