Meghalaya State Electricity Board to set up a hydel power generation unit of Myntdu Leshka Stage II near Boraghat. The site is located 7 km away from Stage I site and it proposes to construct a dam of 65 meter high to generate 280 (4 x 70 MW hydro power. The site is located 10 kms away from the international border of Bangaladesh and is likely to submerge 51 ha of forest land. It is likely to run into rough weather from environmentalists.
