ICFRE to conduct EIA study for 180 MW Bunakha HEP-I

Indian Council of Forestry Research & Education (ICFRE), a body under Ministry of Environment & Forest is to conduct the EIA study for the 180 MW Bunakha hydro electric project-I in Bhutan. An EIA study had been completed for one season (pre monsoon period), however according to RGoB policies, the study should be carried out for all four seasons (winter, pre-monsoon, monsoon, post monsoon). The study will be conducted at a cost of Rs.8.36 million.
