Vindhyachal Hydro Power to set up 6 MW hydro electric project in Thane and Pune districts of Maharashtra. The project involves setting up of Vajra run-off-the-river scheme utilizing natural water fall of 12.5m head with ‘S’ type double regulated full Kaplan turbine. Chaskaman plant will utlilize dam toe discharge for irrigation and will generate 3 MW. The project had been commissioned in 2002.
