Meenakshi Power to set up 37 MW Kolab Hydro electric project in Tentuliguma Village in Koraput district and Udegiri Udegiri village, Malkaongiri district in Orissa. Two projects will be constructed across the Middle Kolab River, referred to as Middle Kolab Project and Lower Kolab Project with 25 MW and 12 MW capacities respectively. The company had decided to utilize the head drops of Kolab river at two locations for power generation. Power studies are carried out based on estimated daily flows at the proposed weir to exploit economic power potential at the present. Based on the flows estimated it is observed that a power potential of 25 MW and 12 MW is possible at Middle Kolab (near Tentulligadda village) and Lower Kolab (near Udegiri village). Energy potential at both locations is estimated to be around 120.48 million units per year. The project had been commissioned in 2006
