Shiga Energy plans 97 MW Tahsiding hydro electric project in West Sikkhim

Shiga Energy Pvt Ltd is planning to set up the 97 MW Tahsiding hydro electric project in Rathong Chhu, at the downstream of confluence of Rimbi Khola with Rathong Chhu in West Sikkhim District. The project involves construction of a 12m high and 42.5 m long barrage , a head race tunnel , a surface power house to house 2 x 48.5 MW turbines. The project also involve construction of 7.343 Km long access roads while the total land requirement is worked out as 17.854 ha including 3.725 ha of forest land and 14.129 ha of private land.
