Bhoruka Power Corp to set up Neria hydro electric projectat Chickmagalur district in Karnataka.The project activity involves construction of a diversion structure, power canal, forebay, penstock, power house and power evacuation system across the river Neria, a tributary of Netravati river. The project comprises two identical power-generating units of capacity 4.5 MW each. Power will be generated at 11 kV which will be stepped up to 33kV for interfacing with the grid system at the nearest Pilakala KPTCL electrical substation.

The project involves setting up of run-off-the-river scheme across branch streams of river Cauvery by constructing a diversion structure of 140 meter in length to divert water to a 110 meter long canal. The project design is with 3 penstock with 3 Kaplan turbine utilizing a low head of 20 meters. The project had been commissioned in 2005.
