Dugar Hydropower Ltd ( a consortium of Tata Power, S N Power Holdings Singapore and government of Himachal Pradesh ) is planning to set up a 380 MW hydel power project across Chenab river in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. The project involves setting up of a 99 meter high dam, an underground power house. The full reservoir level for the dam will be 2105 meter. The project will be constructed as run off the river scheme.
Himachal Pradesh Power Corp is planning to set up the Triveni Mahadev hydro electric project in Kangra and Mandi districts of Himachal Pradesh. The project involves construction of a 32 meter high barrage across river Beas in Beri village, a head race tunnel of 6.4 km, a surface power house on left bank of the river to house 2 units of 39 MW. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 5386 million.
L&T Himachal Hydropower Ltd is planning to construct 410 MW Reoli-Dugli hydro power project in Lahaul-Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. The project involves construction of 75 meter high concrete dam across river Chenab in the confluence of Darhi Nala and Reoli Nala with river Chenab. The project will be a run-off-the river and located in between the downstream of Seli HEP and upstream of Purthi HEP projects. Water is then led to an underground powerhouse housing four generating units each of 105 MW capacity coupled with Francis turbines through two steel lined pressure shafts. The normal Tail Water Level of the project as allotted by the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh is 2333.2 m. Water from the power house is led back into the river through a tail race tunnel. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 26040 million.
