Lanco Green Power plans Budhil hydro electric project

Lanco Green Power Pvt Ltd plans Budhil hydel project , a run off the river hydro electric project on Budhil stream, a major tributary of river Ravi in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. The project involves setting up of concrete diversion dam over the stream of 64 meters long with a height of 58 meters. Water stored in the dam will be fed into penstock and thence to a power house (underground) containing 2 x 35 MW Francis turbines and synchronous generators. Hydel power generated will be evacuated to Chamera II sub-station belonging to NHPC. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 4190 million.

Himachal Pradesh plans Yangthang - Khab HEP 261 MW in Kinnaur

Himachal Pradesh plans Yangthang - Khab HEP across river Spiti in Kinnaur district of the state. The project is to be located just downstream of Chango-Yangthang HEP (140 MW) and upstream development to the Khab-1 HEP (450 MW) on the Sutluj river. A 20 m high diversion structure is to be set up across Spiti river near village Leo. This is a run-of-the river scheme. The underground powerhouse is to be located near village Khab upstream of the confluence of river Spiti with river Satluj with installation of 3 units of 87 MW. The total cost of the project is Rs. 10710 million and will be completed in 48 months.

Dhamwari Power to revive Dhamwari Sunda 70 MW hydro electric project

Dhamwari Power Pvt Ltd is planning to revive Rs. 4399 million Dhamwari Sunda 70 MW hydro power generation project which was accorded statutory clearances in 2002 but could not start work on this project. The project envisaged 13.5 m. un-gated weir is proposed near village Romai about 16 km up-stream of confluence with right bank tributary and a surface powerhouse on the right bank of River Pabbar about 600 m upstream of Chirgaon village. Earlier the project envisaged river tunnelling of 10.62 kms and now objections are on as this have serious aesthetic repercussions on Pabar Valley and Pabar river. Now redesigns are worked out.
